OUR STORY

Fueled by a commitment to safety and innovation, Go To Green is a sophisticated system that goes beyond conventional solutions.

We began our journey by analyzing the following:
  • Indoor acoustics and the inability to pinpoint the attacker
  • How to ensure that the sound was a gunshot and not some other loud noise
  • Ways of knowing all the exit locations in a particular building
  • How to warn everyone in the vicinity of the threat
  • How to alert staff and first responders of the attack
  • How to direct officers to the attacker’s location

Foresight and Responsiveness

The critical need for a comprehensive emergency response platform inspired the creation of Go To Green. Understanding the diverse nature of threats, from active shooters to natural disasters, we envisioned a color-coded system providing instant clarity in the face of danger.

Every country uses traffic lights to lead people. That’s why we used these universal colors for our lighting system.

Over time, we learned that we can direct people away from not only active shooters, but fires, chemical spills, and other hazards. We can also lead people to shelters in case of tornados. Our lights can be seen outdoors, such as at sporting events or during inclement weather. And they can be seen when verbal warnings can’t be heard, like in band rooms or cafeterias.

In developing our system, we also quickly realized we could direct cameras to the threat in real time and relay that information to the police, along with active floor plans through text messages showing the proximity of a shooter.

Combining Real-world Combat Experience with Elite Product Design & Engineering

Go To Green was created by tapping into the broad experience of a cadre of talented, capable, qualified individuals with one simple goal: To turn practical experience of active shooter scenarios into a reliable detection and directional guide to get the largest number of people to safety as quickly as possible.

OUR PURPOSE

Go To Green provides a predictable pathway to safety in unpredictable disastrous situations and saves as many lives as possible.

Our revolutionary directional evacuation system uses sensors and overhead lighting to quickly get people away from an active shooter, environmental event or weather threat.

Go To Green is not just a solution; it’s a commitment to safeguarding schools and businesses – and their invaluable assets. Join us on this journey toward a safer, more resilient future.

Physical Reactions During Fight-or-Flight

In a crisis, stress hormones flood our bodies, causing a fight-or-flight response. Adrenaline rushes into our system, resulting in a pounding heart, hyperventilation, impaired hearing, and other physiological responses.
  • Our sympathetic nervous system kicks in when we believe we are in danger. We freeze as our body decides if we should run or fight. These few seconds can mean life or death in an active attack situation.

  • Our hands and fingers begin to shake so that we lose fine motor skills. We are unable to concentrate or perform complex tasks.

  • Our short-range vision decreases, our pupils dilate, and we get tunnel vision.

  • Our hearing closes off and, in the tight spaces where the sound of a gunshot will echo, it will be almost impossible to know where the shot came from.

How Fight-or-Flight Response Influenced the Go To Green System Design

In an active shooter incident, with adrenaline and cortisol coursing through our bodies, we are primed to run, hide or fight. And making that decision independently is very difficult. If we don’t know where the assailant is, how can we decide which course of action to take? Mobile phones are ubiquitous, but their use is difficult at best when running or in a panic.

The solution had to be intuitive and universal. It had to operate at the same level of instinct that drives the fight-or-flight response.

The Go To Green system was designed based on these responses. During an active threat, Go To Green’s patented technology assists by immediately identifying the danger’s location while visually directing people to safety and warning them of routes to avoid.

At Go To Green, we go the last tactical mile to ensure you clearly see a pathway to safety.
